"I know I speak for the coaching staff, his AMCAT teammates, the athletic department, and all of Anna Maria College when I say that we are tremendously proud of Nate Powers." Said Head Lacrosse Coach Nate Mayo. "Nate is the ultimate example of a person who worked around the clock to be the best he could be and because of that he is now able to fulfill a lifelong dream. As great as Nate is as a player, he's an even better person, and that is what we are most proud of here at Anna Maria. He'll be an asset to the Georgia Swarm, a team that is exemplar when it comes to class and an organization that truly embodies a sports family. From Mr. Arlotta all the way through the organization, Nate is going to a tremendous team. We will excitedly watch and root on Nate from Paxton, Massachusetts. Let's go Swarm!!!!"
"I am incredibly grateful and excited for this opportunity with the Georgia Swarm." Said Nathan Powers. "I wouldn't be the player I am today without my coaches, athletic trainers, and most importantly my teammates. Thank you, Anna Maria!"
Upon joining the Georgia Swarm organization, Powers will be competing alongside the "Thompson Trio" who are known across the lacrosse community as three of the best to play the game. We look forward to see what the future has in store for Nathan Powers as he begins his professional lacrosse career.
