Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Johnson & Wales

PAXTON, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated 19-3 by Johnson & Wales in a non-conference men's lacrosse game on Wednesday afternoon at Caparso Field.

With the loss, the AMCATS fall to 1-6 on the season.

Johnson & Wales opened the game with a strong offensive push, scoring seven goals in the first quarter to take early control. Anna Maria got on the board late in the second quarter when Nicholas Hussa found the back of the net on an unassisted goal to make the score 7-1.

The Wildcats continued to build their lead in the second and third quarters, until Miles Cormier scored for Anna Maria late in the third quarter, finishing a pass from Eric Farrell.

Hussa added his second goal of the game in the fourth quarter with another unassisted tally to round out the scoring for the AMCATS.

Tyler Davidson played the entire game in goal for the AMCATS, making 12 saves throughout the game.

The AMCATS will return to action on Wednesday, March 18, at 5:00 PM when they host Purchase College.
