Bangor, Maine — The Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team fell to Husson University, 27-8, in conference action on Saturday afternoon.
The AMCATS offense was led by Nicholas Hussa, who poured in a team-high five goals, including a highlight man-down score and a late man-up finish.
Miles Cormier added two goals and an assist, scoring once on the extra-man and again early in the fourth quarter, while Jacob Martin found the back of the net in the second quarter to round out Anna Maria's scoring.
A key moment came in the third quarter when Hussa's man-down goal sparked the bench and showcased the team's fight. The AMCATS also capitalized on multiple man-up opportunities, showing efficiency on special teams.
Anna Maria continued to battle throughout, closing the game with strong offensive pressure down the stretch.
Anna Maria returns to action on Sunday, March 29th, at 1:00 PM as they host the Buccaneers of Mass Maratime.
