PAXTON, Mass. - Anna Maria College was defeated 16-2 by Bridgewater State University in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's lacrosse game on Saturday evening at Caparso Field.
With the loss, the AMCATS fall to 1-8 overall and 0-1 in MASCAC play.
Bridgewater State controlled the pace throughout, but Anna Maria continued to battle, finding the back of the net twice in the contest. Megan Tegethoff accounted for both goals, scoring unassisted in the second quarter before adding another in the fourth.
Grace Holden played the full 60 minutes in goal for the AMCATS, turning aside 12 shots in the effort.
Anna Maria returns to action on Saturday, April 4, hosting Salem State in a MASCAC matchup at noon.
