5 Men's Ice Hockey Players Named AHCA All-American Scholars.

PAXTON, MA – Five members of the Anna Maria Men's Ice Hockey team were named to the Ninth Annual American Hockey Coaches Association's All-American Scholars list. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and appeared in 40% of the team's games. The Anna Maria athletes joined a list of 1,123 Division II and III players who achieved the honor this year.

The five AMCATS who met the criteria include senior defender Justin Taylor, freshman defender Liam Murdoch, junior forward Brandon Della Paolera, and sophomore forwards Nick Frederick and Chris Friberg.

Taylor appeared in 27 games for the AMCATS as a key component of the team's defense, adding seven assists on the offensive side of the ice. Murdoch was another stalwart defender for Anna Maria, appearing in 24 games and contributing a pair of assists. With 11 goals and 18 assists, Paolera finished with the third most points on the team with 29 in 26 games, while sophomores Frederick and Friberg added five and two points, respectively.
