PAXTON, MA: Anna Maria Men's Lacrosse season is just a few weeks away with their season opener on February 19th against Wheaton at 5:00 PM. Last season the AMCATS went 6-12 overall and 3-6 in GNAC play clinching a playoff birth as the 5th seed.  

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO

• Anna Maria will be bringing back two of their top scorers in Brandon Pavoni (Granby, MA) and Eric Glover (Baldwinville, MA). Pavoni took home Anna Maria College's MVP returns after breaking the all-time AMC scoring record with 166 points. In 2019 Pavoni put together a record breaking season with the most goals scored in a season with 45 and total points in a season with 68. 
• Also returning for the AMCATS is sophomore Eric Glover who was second in scoring in 2019 with 32 goals, 6 assists, and 38 total points.  
• Top assist leader, Nick Masaro (West Haven, CT) returns as well for the 'CATS, he tallied a team high 24 assists in 2019.   

GAMES TO WATCH 

• The AMCATS season opener is also their home opener on February 19th at 5:00 PM. They will be taking on Wheaton College a team that they lost to in snowy conditions one year prior.
• Anna Maria will start the season with six straight home games facing Mitchell, Oneonta, Nichols, Castleton, and St. Joe's Conn.  
• The squad's first road game will come against Becker College on March 16th at 4:00 PM. 
• Rivier will be in town on March 28th at 12:00 PM for the GNAC playoff rematch from last season. 
• The AMCATS will take on the GNAC's top team form 2019 Lasell University on April 18th at 12:00 PM at home. This will also mark senior day for the team.
