Hussa Hat Trick Not Enough To Secure Win Over Lasers

NEWTON, MA - On Wednesday, April 2nd the Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team traveled to Newton, MA to take on the Lasell University Lasers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 14-4.

The AMCATS struggled in the first quarter after allowing six unanswered goals to the Lasers. It wasn't until nearly four minutes into the second quarter that Nick Hussa ended the AMCATS silence with back to back goals just seconds apart from each other. Hussa would score the AMCATS third goal of the game later that quarter with less than a minute to play in the first half. This would be the last AMCAT goal scored until the beginning of the fourth quarter where Nathan Powers buried the fourth and final goal of the day. Despite the late tuck from Powers, the AMCATS still trailed behind the Lasers at the end of the game for a final score of 14-4.
