Lancers Strike Down Women's Basketball 65-44 At Home

PAXTON, MA - On Saturday, November 9th the Anna Maria College women's basketball team hosted the Worcester State University Lancers for the Worcester City Tournament Consolation game. The AMCATS lost the game 65-44.

The AMCATS struggled in the first ten minuets of the game, allowing 22 points and scoring just six. Trailing by 16 points, the AMCATS would tighten things up in the second quarter scoring ten points however the Lancers would maintain a fifteen point lead over the AMCATS as the game entered halftime.

The AMCATS would put up a more competitive second half however the Lancers would come out on top in both the third and fourth quarters helping them improve their lead to just over twenty points. Three AMCATS would hit double digits in the effort against the Lancers however it wouldn't be enough as the game end with a score of 65-44 in favor of Worcester State.

COMING UP:

The AMCATS will be back in action on Tuesday, November 12th where they will head to Purchase, NY to take on the SUNY Purchase Panthers. Opening tip-off is set for 7:00pm.
