Men's Basketball Can't Hold On In Loss To Blazers

CHICOPEE, MA - On Wednesday, February 19th the Anna Maria College men's basketball team traveled to Chicopee, MA to take on the Elms College Blazers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 71-55.

The AMCATS took an early lead over the Blazers to start the game, holding on for nearly twelve minutes. The Blazers would go on to outscore the AMCATS over the next eight minutes of play, resulting in the AMCATS trailing by ten points at the end of the first half with a score of 33-23 in favor of the Blazers. 

Things wouldn't improve much in the second half of play as the Blazers continued to expand their lead over the AMCATS throughout the second half action. At the conclusion of the game, the AMCATS found themselves trailing by 16 points for a final score of 71-55. Ray Carter Jr. led the AMCATS offense with 15 points while Gabriel Armstead followed with 11 points.

COMING UP:

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, February 22nd where they will head to Boston, MA to take on the Emmanuel College Saints for their final regular season matchup. Opening tip-off is set for 3:00pm.
