Hennessey Headlines Four AMCATS on MASCAC All-Conference Teams; McCauley Named Coach of the Year
PAXTON, Mass. - The Anna Maria College Men's ice hockey team earned major recognition from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference as four AMCATS were named to the 2025–26 All-Conference teams following a historic season for the program.
Junior goaltender Matt Hennessey was named the MASCAC Player of the Year after a dominant season between the pipes. Hennessey started 23 games, posting a 17-3-2 record while recording an outstanding 1.83 goals-against average and .945 save percentage across more than 1,380 minutes in net. His performance was instrumental in guiding Anna Maria through conference play and into the postseason.
Senior forward Braedon McKinnon earned MASCAC First Team All-Conference honors after leading the AMCATS offense throughout the season. McKinnon appeared in all 27 games for the AMCATS and finished the year with a team-best 15 goals and 29 points, while adding 14 assists. His offensive production helped power Anna Maria to one of the most successful seasons in program history.
Senior defenseman Pearce Baker was also named to the First Team All-Conference. Baker played a major role for the AMCATS, appearing in all 27 games while tallying 22 points on two goals and 20 assists. The senior defenseman was a key two-way contributor, helping anchor a defensive unit that limited opponents throughout the season.
Sophomore forward Owen Barrow earned Second Team All-Conference recognition following an impressive sophomore campaign. Barrow skated in all 27 games and finished the year with 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points, emerging as one of the AMCATS' most consistent offensive threats.
Head coach Dave McCauley was named MASCAC Coach of the Year after leading the AMCATS to a 20-5-2 overall record and a 12-1-1 mark in conference play. In just the program's second season competing in the MASCAC, McCauley helped guide Anna Maria to a historic campaign. The AMCATS were particularly dominant on home ice this season, finishing undefeated at home with a 12-0-2 record, setting a new program record for wins with 20.
