Barrow Earns MASCAC Player of the Week for Men's Ice Hockey

PAXTON, Mass. - Sophomore Owen Barrow was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week for his contributions in a pair of wins for Anna Maria College, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Barrow helped the AMCATS to a 2-0 week, scoring two goals and dishing out one assist for three points. He scored one goal in a 3-2 win over Worcester State University and added one goal and one assist in a 3-1 victory against Framingham State University.

Barrow is tied for first on the team with 14 goals alongside Braedn McKinnon and has added 12 assists for a total of 26 points this season. He also carries a +10 plus/minus rating, which ranks third on the team.

The two victories extended the AMCATS' win streak to 10 games and secured the number one seed in the conference tournament. Anna Maria finished with a 12-1-1 conference record and earned a bye into the MASCAC semifinals. The AMCATS will host the lowest remaining seed on Saturday, February 28, at the Horgan Skating Arena.
