Wright Earns Second MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honor

PAXTON, Mass. - For the second time in his debut season, Brayden Wright has been named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

In addition to steady defensive play, the freshman turned in an impressive week at the plate for the AMCATS, batting .429 (6-for-14) across four games while posting a .556 on-base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage. The first baseman tallied at least one hit in each contest, highlighted by a two-hit performance against MCLA and a two-RBI effort in a win over Framingham State. Over the stretch, Wright drove in five runs, scored four times, and drew three walks.

Wright has been a key contributor to the Anna Maria offense all season, carrying a .333 batting average with 23 hits and a team-high 16 RBIs, while scoring 10 runs. He has also recorded four extra-base hits and seven walks.
