Bears Too Much For Women's Volleyball
BRIDGEWATER, MA - On Monday, September 2nd the Anna Maria College women's volleyball team traveled to Bridgewater, MA to take on the Bridgewater State University Bears for a non-conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the match 3-0.
The AMCATS fought hard in the first set as they managed to keep things close before the Bears pulled away with a late run. The AMCATS would fall to the Bears 25-16 to start the day. Things wouldn't get much better for the AMCATS in the second set as they only managed 11 points, putting them at a 2-0 deficit to start the day. Desperate for a win to keep the match alive the AMCATS opened up with a strong start in the third set before the Bears regained control and closed the game out with a score of 25-10 for a three set sweep over the AMCATS. Jana Hunt led the AMCATS with six kills and eight digs for a total of seven points on the day.

Women's Volleyball will be back in action on Wednesday, September 4th where they will head to Springfield, MA to take on the Western New England University Golden Bears for a non-conference matchup. Opening set starts at 6:00pm.
