Moran Buries Two in 3-1 Win Over Raiders

NASHUA, NH - On Wednesday, October 23rd the Anna Maria College men's soccer team traveled to Nashua, NH to take on the Rivier University Raiders for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS won the game 3-1.

The AMCATS were the first to strike as Rubelsi Moran found the back of the net just over thirty minute into the first half. The AMCATS would maintain the 1-0 lead over the Raiders for the remainder of the first half.

After the intermission, the AMCATS were met with a quick goal from the Raiders to tie the game up at one goal a piece just five minutes into the half. Nearly seven minutes later, Moran would find the back of the net yet again, giving the AMCATS the lead early in the second half. As the game went on, the Raiders put the pressure on the AMCATS defense in an effort to find yet another equalizer, however it was the freshman Kyle Brocker who managed to sneak one past the Raiders goal keeper. Brockers goal would give the AMCATS some insurance as time ran out on the clock.
