Clark Stops 11 In 1-0 Loss To Lasers

NEWTON, MA - On Tuesday, October 22nd the Anna Maria College women's soccer team traveled to Newton, MA to take on the Lasell University Lasers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 1-0.

In a fiercely contested match, the AMCATS faced off against Lasell on a sunny fall afternoon. The game unfolded like a classic drama, with both teams battling hard for every touch of the ball. 

Right from the start, the AMCATS showed their tenacity, pushing forward and creating several chances in the first half . However, it was Lasell who put the ball in the net first, netting a crucial goal in the first half.

Lasell, well aware of their lead, maintained a tight defense throughout the game. As time moved slow for the Lasers, the AMCATS chased the clock hoping to get an equalizer, but the whistle blew with the score still locked at 1-0.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• Kortney Clark made 11 saves in the AMCATS effort against the lasers.
• Clark Currently holds 127 saves so far in 14 games played.

COMING UP:

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, October 26th where they will host the Simmons University Sharks for Senior Night. Opening kickoff is set for 4:00pm at Caparso Field in Paxton, MA.
