Bio

Matt Coyne enters his first season as Anna Maria’s offensive coordinator after serving the previous two years as the offensive coordinator, pass game coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and recruiting coordinator at Oberlin College. Prior to his arrival at Oberlin College, Coyne coached at Wesleyan University (CT), instructing wide receivers for two seasons. In his two seasons at Wesleyan University, he helped the Cardinal post a 14-2 record while claiming the New England Small Colleges Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championship in 2013. Coyne started at quarterback at Wesleyan University in 2011 and 2012, serving as team captain in 2012 – the same year he received the Eck Award for devotion to team. He also played quarterback at Williams College from 2009-11 before transferring to Wesleyan. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wesleyan in 2012 and a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences in 2015.
