Jeff Kelly joins the Anna Maria College football coaching staff after spending two years as the defensive coordinator at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas. 

Prior to coaching Jeff Kelly played middle linebacker at Garden City Community College for two years before transfering to Kansas State University where he played middle linebacker as well. While at KSU, Jeff was a 1998 First Team All-American, named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, Kansas State Football Defensive MVP and was a First Team All-Big 12 selection in '97 and '98. Following his college career he was drafted in the 6th round, 199th overall, in the 1999 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons.

He spent five years in the NFL before returning to Kansas State to complete his Bachelor's degree and serve as a graduate assistant with the football team he played for just five years earlier. In 2005, Kelly joined the University of Oklahoma Coaching staff as a graduate assistant. 

Jeff served as defensive line coach at Trinity Valley Community College followed by being named defensive coordinator at Modesto Christian High School. In 2012 he returned to Garden City Community College where he began as the defensive line coahc in 2012 and was elevated to defensive coordinator in 2013. In 2014 he joined Fort Scott Community College where he coached with current AMC football defensive coordinator Craig Richardson.

Kelly has a daughter named Kennedy and calls La Grande, Texas home.
