Bio

Anthony Casparriello was named Anna Maria College's Sports Information Director as of June 2025. Casparriello will directly aid Director of Strategic Media & Communication Patrick McGuane in all areas pertaining to the publicity and promotion of AMC’s athletic programs.

Before Anna Maria, Casparriello spent two years as an intern under SID Curtis Fraser at Worcester State University, earning the Rich Korzec Athletic Service Award for exemplary service to the university’s athletic department in 2020. After graduating, he served a two-year stint as Assistant Sports Information Director at Regis College, where he worked closely with head SID, Jason Behenna, while earning his master's degree in Strategic Communication on a Sports Track and helping lead the department to earning Athletic Communications Staff of the Year. In 2023, Casparriello took on the role of Sports Information Assistant at Curry College, working again with Fraser and then Robert Papazian before finding his way to the AMCAT Center.

Before graduating from Worcester State with a bachelor's degree in Communication, Casparriello spent three years on the Lancers’ football team where he was a two-time MASCAC All-Academic Team selection. In 2019, he was selected to the Merc Morris Worcester Area All-Star Team and earned a spot on the MASCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team. He was also the recipient of the Joseph R. Mewhiney Central Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation College Scholar-Athlete Award the same year.
