AMCATS Fall to Hawks in Women's Tennis
Paxton, Mass. – The doubles duo of Emily Williamson (Paxton, Mass.) and Nicole Goudreau (Harrisville, RI) swept the number two doubles flight (8-6) as well as their individual slots to score three points for the AMCATS but it wasn't enough as the Hawks from Becker College recorded the 6-3 victory in non-conference tennis action at the Paxton Sports Centre.
Becker opened up the match scoring wins in two of the three doubles matches. The third flight duo of Shauna Buckley and Kerry Saltvick defeated Kelly Blake and Casey Harrington 8-4. Both Hawks also won their singles flights at the fifth and sixth slot, respectively.
Nicole Connolly and Cameron Murphy swept their singles matches by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores for visiting Becker College.
Anna Maria returns to action on Saturday September 29th when they host St. Joe's University (Conn.).
